The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Modrzejewski (pronounced Majeski) as Executive Director of Emmaus Worldwide. Steve succeeds Keith Bibelhausen, who resigned to better support his family, after revitalizing the ministry and developing a comprehensive strategic plan. Thank you Keith!
Steve is first and foremost a man of the Word. He was born and raised in the assemblies, a movement he has faithfully supported and cherishes. He has long served as an elder at Park Manor Bible Chapel in Elgin, Illinois with an active teaching ministry in addition to his leadership/pastoral responsibilities. Steve’s desire is to make the Bible easy to understand for people so that lives may be transformed by Jesus Christ.
Steve comes to Emmaus Worldwide with extensive leadership experience at AWANA Clubs International with primary duties in the overseas arena. In addition, he has also served nonprofits as a consultant in finance, operations, administration, and development.
Steve's aspiration has always been to serve in a ministry and, if possible, a Brethren ministry. Both he and his wife Janice have felt the Lord's clear call to serve at Emmaus Worldwide and have expressed a strong commitment to advance the Emmaus Worldwide mission: Glorify God by providing biblically sound resources and structured study materials that teach people from every nation to accept Christ as their Savior and Lord, grow in Christ, and share their faith with others.
Steve looks forward to connecting with you, hearing your thoughts and partnering with you in the furtherance of the Lord's work. Your input is welcome. Call (563)585-2070 or email Steve at smodrzejewski@emmausworldwide.org).
Please pray for Emmaus Worldwide during this time of transition. A post-pandemic world presents exciting opportunities in the homeschool market and the revitalization of global work. The prison ministry requires new methodologies (electronic vs. print) to continue ministering to inmates. Pray for discernment of God’s leading for Steve and the team as they advance the mission of the ministry.
