One Of Those Stories That Stays With You.
After a year of doing women's Bible studies in a jail in Edmonton, Alberta, the door closed due to renovations, but the Lord opened another in February 2025—at the largest jail in Canada! Up to 15 women attend weekly. I thank the Lord for providing another sister in Christ from my home chapel to serve with me. We have started introducing Emmaus Bible study books to the inmates. Even the guards want to do them. On one occasion, I encouraged an inmate to read John 3:16, replacing "whosoever" with her name. I believe it was the first time she had read that verse, and she began to choke up with tears at the thought of the Creator loving her. How sweet to witness that moment! -Jenny McKenzie
