God Met Me At Rock Bottom.

A letter from Rachel (name changed for safety ).

Dear Emmaus Correspondence School (Emmaus Worldwide),

I just wanted to say thank you for reaching out to me.

And you are correct; I have not sent any further Exams in. I was having trouble finishing the course and I had lost my way.

And it wasn't until I received your letter asking if I was ok that it really hit me hard.

Your letter was a sign from God that I needed to get back on track as I was losing my way. I have so much pressure that I have put on myself because I am scared to fail not only in my Bible studies but in my life beyond bars, and this scares me a lot.

Up until now, I didn’t have all my faith and trust in the Lord. But since reading “The Bible—What's In It For You?” - Exam book, I have learned that by having trust and faith in the Lord then I will prevail and will in time discover how to live a virtuous life. I believe that God has great plans for my life and I’m excited for what the future holds.

I also believe that if it wasn’t for my struggles I would have never stumbled across my strengths. I believe that my struggles may one day be able to help others show that even when you’re at rock bottom, by having trust and faith in the Lord, you can overcome anything. If it wasn’t for my stumbles, I wouldn’t have a story to hopefully help and teach others.

One day I hope to be a motivational speaker in church and share my story. Thank you again for reaching out to me.
