The Letter to the Romans

The apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Rome is a classic. In chapters 1 through 8 we see a clear exposition of our sinful, lost condition and God’s righteous plan for saving us. We learn of our identification with Christ and the victory we can experience over sin through the power of the Holy Spirit. This verse-by-verse study of Romans chapters 1 through 8 goes to the heart of the good news that is “the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.” In chapters 9 through 16 of his letter to the church in Rome, Paul addresses the ramifications of God’s offer of salvation to all people on His chosen people, Israel. The apostle then gives instruction on how Christians should demonstrate their faith in everyday life situations that relate to their fellowship with other believers and to their interaction with the world at large.
