Dr. Jonathan J. Routley grew up in Dubuque, IA in a close-knit Christian family. Their influence, especially that of his grandfather Ray Routley, and his active involvement in the local church shaped his faith as a young man. High school brought transformative experiences at youth camp, strengthening his relationship with the Lord. After college, he felt a calling to share the gospel, leading to further education and a life dedicated to preaching and teaching. His passion for writing began early, with an interest in creative writing that evolved into extensive academic works and numerous contributions to magazines and journals. The heart of his writing is to enrich the lives of others with clear communication of the truth.
