The Bible is a big book covering many centuries of history, cultures, and people. Despite the size and diversity of the Bible, the writers of the New Testament claim that Jesus Christ stands as the center and climax of all Scripture (Luke 24:25-27). Each of the 27 books of the New Testament support this claim in their own way. These books are written to different audiences in unique contexts and by different authors in diverse situations, yet all of them place Jesus Christ at the heart of the world history as the Savior who brings salvation and forgiveness to all who follow Him.

This course will briefly survey each book of the New Testament, giving its context, outline, major themes, and a brief description of its content. The purpose is for you to gain a general understanding of how each book fits into the bigger picture of the Bible, and how all of it points to Christ.
